Gerrard hopes Coutinho endures Liverpool

Coutinho is reported to have agreed a personal agreement with Barcelona. But Liverpool insisted that the Brazilian was not sold at any price.
Liverpool feel safe in the absence of the release clause in the Coutinho contract. Thus, Barca could not easily hook the former Inter Milan player for Liverpool disagree.
Gerrard admits that the lure of playing with Barca could be too much to ignore for the 25-year-old. Costumed Barca is every player’s dream.
“That opportunity is a dream for this South American player,” Gerrard told Metro quoted by BolaSport.
“I’ve experienced it – both as a fan and a player – with Javier Mascherano and Luis Suarez,” said the 37-year-old legend.
Gerarrd thinks the positive thing is that the manager really wants Coutinho to survive and the owner wants it to stay. According to the former England midfielder, Liverpool is trying to keep Coutinho because the club is not in need of money.
“We are not a club that sells players so they will do everything with the power to keep him,” said Gerrard.
“I pray he is in Liverpool until the transfer window ends,” he added.
Spanish media claim Coutinho did want to join Barca at some stage in his career. Coutinho is trying to recruit Barca to replace Neymar who has moved to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) after the French League giants redeem his release clause worth 222 million euros (about Rp 3.4 trillion).
